“The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Paul Heyman had a conference call this past week with Spike TV. Spike is under pressure to improve the ratings. Believe it or not, Spike has fallen out of the top 25 on cable and the overall rating has hovered between 0.5 and 0.6, way down from a couple of years back.”

Wow!! Now this really is something to ponder and I’ll tell you why:

Dixie was obviously “shut down” by Paul as he’s seen a lot of shit in wrestling. Plus he’s an East coast “boy” and seems to possess street smart and savvy.

Now, it’s no secret that Paul mis managed the ECW accounting but, there’s no denying “brothers” talent! It looks to me like Paul learned from his mistakes (wish I could) and he was smart with his money from the sale of ECW assets and the money he made from his WWE run.

That being said, he can pick and choose what he wants to do (so fucking jealous man!!) and I know from experience that SPIKE can’t do anything wrestling wise with another wrestling project that doesnt have “express written consent” of the “morons” from Nashville.

Now, my thoughts are that SPIKE is contractually bound to TNA. But, the company put way too much “stock” into TNA because SPIKE’s ratings in general are waaaaay low!

I can’t fault SPIKE because they were projecting the growth of iMPACT based upon the 3 years it took to get to the 1.3 rating it was a year ago (it doesn’t seem like a lot but, when your overall rating is a .5 it sure is). Not knowing how much putting the entire responsibility of iMPACT on the shoulders of Vince Russo who is obviously lost!

Although SPIKE is “bound” to their TNA deal, the “golden rule” applies to some extent (the ones with the gold rule). But, I’m gathering that SPIKE is “squeezing” TNA’s nuts and the company is considering other sports entertainment programs, that need the approval of TNA.

R Truth What”s Up T-Shirt

I think that the midgets are on because it’s more of a ” sawed off, Jackass, knock-off ” so the rules don’t apply.

And again, Dixie in all of her “marketing genius” is using this as an opportunity to “trend” online (show me where that equates into cash for these idiots) when in fact, her ties to even the “possibility” of Heyman returning to wrestling, are merely an indirect “rub” for TNA at best.

Now, SPIKE (VIACOM and MTV) probably does have the money to entice Heyman. But, I still don’t believe Paul wants to be affiliated with them. It may do too much harm to his reputation in the long run.
