BTW what do you think about Blue Demon Jr acting on behalf of the NWA to strip CMLL luchadores of any NWA titles they may hold?
Lucha, I don’t know much about it. I’m not even sure how his affiliation w/NWA helped CMLL or vice versa? Please elaborate.

It didn’t. Those NWA titles have been in Mexico for a VVVVEEEEERRRRRRYYYYYYYY LLLLLLOOOOOONNNNGGGG time. Many greats have held them such as Santo and Blue Demon. However Blue Jr is currently in the outs with CMLL, so much so that CMLL has barred their talent from working with him. He claims to be acting vice president of the NWA and since the titles aren’t being defended in NWA events or held by NWA workers he is demanding to have the titles back. As one can assume the current Mexican workers “holding” those titles in CMLL don’t want to give them back. Some claim this is a ploy by Blue Jr to stick it to CMLL however CMLL has PLENTY of their own titles to go around, giving those titles back won’t hurt them, it will actually help them. As it is there are too many titles in CMLL hurting whatever value any one title can have, eliminating some gives the remaining titles some value. It’s a question of overkill.

Slight clarification: Demon Jr ISN’T the vice president but seems to be acting as spokesperson for the NWA in Mexico.
