There is absolutely no, possible, way that even the most sympathetic TNA sympathizer (fan) can rationalize this GIGANTIC failure!!
Let us look at some of the President of TNA Entertainment LLC statements leading up to the 2010 “Monday Night Wars”:
TNADIXIE:
“TNA’s worked 8 yrs for this nite. I’m very proud & so excited. iMPACT! starts hot, don’t miss it. 03/08/2010
Spoke w/Sting last nite. We’ve renewed his contract & he said he wouldn’t miss Mondays live show for anything. Can’t wait to work w/Hulk 03/05/2010
First few in NYC who sends me a pic of Times Sq, Penn Station or MSG billboards gets a TNA prize. I want to post on tnawrestling.com 03/04/2010
Hogan was on Fox & Friends this am and is on Cavuto 2 nite in the 6 pm ET hour on Fox Biz News. Doing lots of media for 3/8 iMPACT! show. 03/03/2010
8 days & counting. So excited. Show will start hot. Big things to happen all night. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! 02/28/2010
I even wore my FU out to meet the president of our trading card co. at a fancy restaurant. Caused a stir. 02/25/2010″
Overall the TNA Impact delivered 1.4 million viewers with a 1.0 cable rating, as previously noted.
Impact on 3/8 did quarter hours of .99, .98, 1.00, 1.07, 1.07, 1.03, .95, and .76 with a 1.01 over-run.
USA NETWORK VP TAKES SWIPE AT TNA RATING, HOW SPIKETV REACTED TO THE RATING
By Mike Johnson on 2010-03-09 20:38:09
On his twitter page, Ted Linhart, the Vice President of the USA Network of Program Research commented on Monday’s ratings, commenting “Not much of a Monday Night “War”. RAW trounced TNA by 275% w/ total viewers. Also Impact much lower than the test Monday ep in early Jan.”
For what it is worth, SpikeTV sources indicate they are fine with TNA’s rating, in that the demographics for 18-34 were well and the series brought its Thursday audience over to Monday. It was seen as the first step in a larger goal for the Impact show.
Feels good to be right! More to come.

From PWTorch:
** RAW peaked with a 3.60 for their eighth quarter hour, featuring plugs for Steve Austin on RAW next week as well as the start of Vince McMahon vs. John Cena
.
* Impact’s rating saw a huge drop for the eighth quarter hour, falling from a roughly 1.05 all the way down to a .76. The segment featured Hulk Hogan backstage segments and the start of Hogan & Abyss vs. Flair & Styles.**
…So basically, what this tells me is that TNA’s sound business model strikes again as they paid an ungodly amount of money to bring in the Crypt Keeper and the “Orange Goblin” and actually lowered their average rating.
Way to go TNA. *clap*clap*clap*clap*clap*
One can only imagine what the Times Square billboard cost!!!!

That Times Square billboard probably cost them whatever they were spending on keeping ShopTNA from completely failing.
But I am sure that billboard cost less than production costs on all those “Best of Raven” DVDs. I laugh when I think in my head that there’s a warehouse in Nashville somewhere that looks like the one at the end of Indiana Jones full of “Best of Raven” DVDs with “top men” watching over them.
